Transfer Students

Transfer Students

Transfer Rules and Regulations:
  • The acceptance of the transfer process of the students will not be final unless the CIC get the final approval from the ministry of higher education.
  • Dismissed students for any Disciplinary reasons cannot be accepted.
  • Military status must be taken into consideration to finalize the acceptance process of the transfer for Male Students only.
  • For students who have equivalent certificates their transfer acceptance is subjected to the approval of El Tansik Office
  • The transfer process is subjected to the rules and regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education
  • Direct admission: Students who had his/her High School Certificate or its equivalent, stayed home for one year and did not apply in any institute or university could be accepted if they met the required high school percentage of the CIC in the year they received their high school certificate. Transfer to different school (Other Major): Students can transfer from their old major or school to a different major or school upon fulfilling these conditions:
  • The transfer student must meet the required high school percentage of the CIC in the year he/she received his/her high school certificate.
  • The Enrollment letter that the student will submit from his previous university/Institute must be in detailed, showing the student’s academic sequence/progress since he received his/her high school certificate also showing that he/she passed his courses, promoted to the next level & is eligible to register in the following academic year,
  • also the letter shouldn’t indicate that the student withdrew his file. (The Enrollment letter must be stamped from the ministry)
  • Students must not withdraw their original file and credentials from their home institution until they get the ministry approval.
  • Students who are dismissed from their home institute due to absence will not be accepted.
  • CIC accept dismissed students according to each student’s case
  • Students who did not passed in their courses could not transfer to school of engineering.
  • Transfer With TC (to the same school): Students can transfer to the same major with exemption from the previously studied subjects after the CIC prepare for them a TC (Transfer of Credit) and have the approval of the ministry and after fulfilling these conditions:
  • The transfer student must meet the required high school percentage of the CIC in the year he/she received his/her high school certificate OR obtain a CGPA 2.3or above to be exempted from the required high school percentage of the CIC
  • The Enrollment letter that the student will submit from his previous university/Institute must be in detailed, showing the student’s academic sequence/progress since he received his/her high school certificate also showing that he/she passed his courses, and promoted to the next level & is eligible to register in the following academic year,
  • also the letter shouldn’t indicate that the student withdrew his file. (The Enrollment letter must be stamped from the ministry)
  • Submit Official Transcript from the home institution stamped by Ministry of Higher Education.
  • Submit an Officially Stamped Course Description of all the courses taken in the home institution.
  • Students who failed in more than 2 courses in the overall transcript will not be accepted.
  • CIC does not accept incoming transfer students in the 4th year in the school of Business and Mass Communication or in the 4th and 5th year in the school of Engineering.
  • Students transferring from a Credit hour system must have a cumulative GPA of not less than 2 for the school of Business and Mass Communication or must be passed and promoted to the next level in the student transferring from other systems.
  • Students transferring to the School of Engineering must show a proof of passing the basic courses or finish at least 5 courses from the following subjects(Math I and Math II, Physics I and Physics II, Mechanics I , Chemistry I, Engineering Drawing, Engineering Production) , the student should not finish 60 % of the required courses in his major.
  • Students must not withdraw their original file and credentials from their home institution until they get the ministry.
  • Transferred courses will not be calculated in the GPA , it is added in the transcript as TC.
